Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

Resident. Generally occurs singly at mv light, occasionally sparingly in a wide range of habitats situated in a few places in both vice-counties. Single-brooded, flying mainly from early June to mid August, occasionally to late August. Larvae feed in the shoots of wild and especially cultivated rose. (Pratt, 2011).
