Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

A resident species. Both larvae and adults usually occur singly or sparingly in a very few deciduous woods in both vice-counties. Probably seriously under-recorded. Single-brooded, flying mainly during June and July. Larvae feed on oak and sweet chestnut. (Pratt, 2011)
