Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

A resident species, normally occurring singly or sparingly at mv light in both vice-counties; occasionally fairly common to common in Rewell Wood. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late May to late August. Larvae feed on beech-mast. (Pratt, 2011).
