Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

A resident species, generally occurring singly at mv light, occasionally sparingly, in a few places in both vice-counties. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late June to mid-August. Larvae associated with wild parsnip, cow parsnip and hogweed. (Pratt, 2011).
