Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

A resident species often fairly common to common at mv light in a wide range of habitats. Widespread. Irregularly double-brooded flying mainly in overlapping flights from late May to late October, occasionally form the second week of April. Also recorded on December 23rd 2008. Larvae feed on decaying plant material. (Pratt, 2011).
