Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce B

Nationally Notable Class B. Resident. In danger of extinction in both vice-counties and undetected since 2002, although it can occur sparingly or fairly commonly in a very few places at mv light, especially on the downs and vegetated shingle beaches. This species is single-brooded flying mainly from late June to the third week of August, occasionally to early September. Larvae feed on unspecified lichens growing in old hedges.(Pratt, 2011).
