Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

Resident. Usually occurs sparingly at mv light on the eastern downs but it is sometimes common in the west. Very local, and almost entirely restricted to the chalk. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid June to the third week of August, occasionally to mid September. Larvae feed on wild thyme. (Pratt, 2011).
