Status and ecology:

National Status: Nb

A resident that generally occurs singly or sparingly but it is sometimes fairly common at mv light in deciduous woods and along sheltered hedgerows in West Sussex; usually a little less numerous in East Sussex. Very local in any numbers. Increasing. Double-brooded, flying mainly from early May to mid June, sometimes from late April, and again from mid July to late August, occasionally to the second week of September. Larvae feed on Maple. (Pratt, 2011)
