Status and ecology:

A resident species in decline, normally occurring singly or sparingly at mv light in most places, but occasionally fairly common in a few suburban gardens, allotments and nurseries. Well distributed in the far east and south-west but currently rare or missing elsewhere. Very local, it is single-brooded and flies mainly from mid-June to late July. Larvae feed on red- and black-currant. (Pratt, 2011)
