1761 Autumn Green Carpet, Chloroclysta miata (Linnaeus, 1758)

Status and ecology:

A species which is probably now extinct in the region - undetected since a final appearance in 1996 at Hornlady's Cross in the far east, and last seen in the west in 1934. Single-brooded, flying from mid-September to late October, with survivors reappearing in the Spring. Larvae fed on sallow, oak and silver birch. (Pratt, 2011)
