1767 Pine Carpet, Thera firmata (Hübner, 1822)

Status and ecology:

A resident species, usually occurring singly or sparingly, but sometimes fairly common at mv light on pine-clad heaths and amongst evergreen plantations. Well distributed except in central southern parts, but very local and irregular in numbers. Double-brooded, in overlapping flights mainly from mid-June to late August and from late September to late October. Larvae feed on Scots pine. (Pratt, 2011)
