1781 Small Waved Umber, Horisme vitalbata ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Status and ecology:

A resident species normally occurring singly or sparingly at mv light. Occasionally common on the chalk and vegetated shingle beeches. Probably generally distributed on the Downs but much less so elsewhere and completely absent from the north-east. Double-brooded flying from late April to late June and again from late July to late August. Larvae feed on traveller's joy. (Pratt, 2011)
