1788 Scarce Tissue, Rheumaptera cervinalis (Scopoli, 1763)

Status and ecology:

A rare suspected immigrant or local import with cultivated barberry. Very irregular in appearance, the number of broods is uncertain, as adults have been seen in May, July and September. Larvae have not been discovered locally, but listed food plants from other countries include wild and introduced species of barberry. (Pratt, 2011)
