1797 Autumnal Moth, Epirrita autumnata (Borkhausen, 1794)

Status and ecology:

A resident species often fairly common to common at mv light and probably occasionally very common in deciduous woods. Widespread throughout the county. Single-brooded flying mainly from mid October to mid November. Although not recorded in Sussex, larval food plants listed elsewhere include birch and elder. (Pratt, 2011)
