Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

A resident species whose larvae usually occur sparingly amongst deciduous woodland, although they are episodically common across the region. Adults generally only come singly to mv light. Widespread. Single-brooded, flying mainly throughout June. Larvae feed on powdery lichens and (dead) insects. (Pratt, 2011)
