1817 Foxglove Pug, Eupithecia pulchellata Stephens, 1831

Status and ecology:

A resident species occurring sparingly at mv light, fairly common to common when and where foodplant appears after woodland clearances. Widespread and perhaps generally distributed but very local and episodic in numbers. Single-brooded, flying mainly from early May to mid July, occasionally from second week of April to or late July. Larvae feed on the flowers of foxglove. (Pratt, 2011).

A 2nd brood individual was caught on the 4th October, 2013.
