Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce A

A sighting in 1860 in Brighton was the only sighting until 1996 when one was seen at Rye Harbour. Then one was seen at Church Norton in 2002, these being the only confirmed Sussex sightings. Larvae feed on grasses. (Pratt, 2011)
