Status and ecology:

National Status: pRDB2

The only unquestionable Sussex record is of a colony found in Cuckmere Valley in 1905, where caterpillars were said to feed on sea meadow grass up to April and the adults flew abundantly from the middle of May to the end of June. (Pratt, 2011)
