1951 Grey Birch, Aethalura punctulata ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Status and ecology:

A resident species usually occurring sparingly, but it is occasionally fairly common in deciduous woods and on scrubby heaths. Very local in numbers. This species is single-brooded occurring mainly from late April to early June, occasionally from early April or to late June. Larvae feed on (silver) birch. (Pratt, 2011)
