1961 Light Emerald, Campaea margaritata (Linnaeus, 1767)

Status and ecology:

Resident species, probably generally distributed and fairly common to often common in woods, generally much less frequent along treeless parts of the coast. Double-brooded, flying mainly late May to late July and mid-August to mid-October. Larvae feed on beech, birch, oak, ash, heather and grey willow. (Pratt, 2011)
