2038 Muslin Footman, Nudaria mundana (Linnaeus, 1761)

Status and ecology:

Resident. In serious danger of extinction in both vice-counties. Occurs singly at mv light in a few dykes and rivers. Extremely local and distinctly episodic in appearance. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late June to late July, occasionally from mid June or to early August. The larval foodplants have not been recorded from Sussex but unidentified “small lichens” growing on stone walls, fences, and bushes, have been mentioned elsewhere. (Pratt, 2011)
