Status and ecology:

National Status: Na

An immigrant species normally only detected singly at mv light in a wide range of habitats within four miles of the coast, 2006 being the most notable exception. Arrivals take place in a single wave which flies mainly between late July and early September. Larvae have not been recorded in the county but are listed as feeding on birch, sallow and bog-myrtle. (Pratt, 2011)
