Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce B

Only a few good reports of this Nationally Notable moth from Sussex. The first from Brighton before 1917 and then at Sedlescombe in 1999. In West Sussex it was see in 1996 at West Heath Common and at Holland Wood in 1997. Finally it was seen at Warnham LNR in 2008. Larvae feed on bracket and other wood associated fungi. (Pratt, 2011)
