2195 Delicate, Mythimna vitellina (Hübner, 1808)

Status and ecology:

An immigrant and suspected episodic resident species occurring singly or sparingly in a wide range of habitats, but occasionally fairly common to common at mv light near the coast. Very local and intermittent in numbers but perhaps weakly established since 1984. Adults generally appear between early September and early November, sometimes preceded by a much weaker wave through May and June. Larvae feed on various grasses. (Pratt, 2011)
