2248 Brindled Green, Dryobotodes eremita (Fabricius, 1775)

Status and ecology:

Resident. Often occurs sparingly or fairly commonly at mv light in deciduous woods, and it is occasionally common in its headquarters. Widespread, but very local in numbers. Single-brooded, flying mainly from early September to late October, occasionally to early November. Larvae feed on oak. (Pratt, 2011)
