2266 Brown-spot Pinion, Agrochola litura (Linnaeus, 1761)

Status and ecology:

A resident species occurring singly in the east in a wide range of habitats; occasionally sparingly on heathland. Common to fairly common in the west. Distinctly episodic in appearance and thinly distributed. A single brooded species flying mainly from mid September to late October. The larvae food on bramble, rose, sallow and unspecified grasses. (Pratt, 2011)
