Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

Resident. The moth occurs sparingly in a few houses in both vice-counties. Continuously brooded flying from May to October, but in centrally heated houses can be seen all year. Larvae feed on hair in chair stuffing, or any sort of woollen material. (Pratt, 2011)
