Status and ecology:

A declining resident species occurring singly or sparingly at mv light in a wide range of habitats. Widespread, but missing from the north-east. Single-brooded flying mainly from mid July to mid October. Larvae feed inside the stems of bulrush and lesser bulrush. (Pratt, 2011)
