2387 Mottled Rustic, Caradrina morpheus (Hufnagel, 1766)

Status and ecology:

A resident species often common at mv light in a wide range of habitats. Well distributed throughout the county. Usually single-brooded flying from late May to early August. The larval foodplant has not been recorded in Sussex although sting nettle and dandelion have been listed elsewhere. (Pratt, 2011)
