2403 Bordered Straw, Heliothis peltigera ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Status and ecology:

An immigrant species which is also an episodic resident. Adults are usually seen singly at mv light in a wide range of habitats within about four miles of the coast. Very irregular in appearance but occurs about two years in every three. The insect is usually encountered between late May and late September. Larvae feed on restharrow. (Pratt, 2011)
