Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

Resident. Larvae usually occur commonly in a range of habitats in both vice-counties. Probably seriously under-recorded in East Sussex.
Triple-brooded nationally, flying mainly from April to May, during July, and again in September and October, although a few Sussex records of adults date to just May, August, and September.
Larvae feed on pyracantha, apple leaves, and hawthorn. (Pratt, 2011)
