Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce B

The only Sussex records of this Nationally Notable species concern a single adult bred from a sallow leaf obtained from Pevensey Bay on 1 April 1983 and three larval mines collected from goat willow on Kithurst Hill (Storrington) on 22 September 2008 from which an adult was bred out on April 27th 2009. (Pratt, 2011)
