Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

The first authoritative record in East Sussex occurred at some time prior to 1985. Since then there have been three further records – two from West Sussex and one from East Sussex. All these records were on alder. Adults are nationally single-brooded, flying mainly during July and August. (Pratt, 2011).
