Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

A resident that occurs singly at mv light in a range of different habitats across the county, especially near the coast and Downs. It is double-brooded, flying mainly from mid April to the third week of June and again from mid July to the third week of August. The larvae feed on the leaves of hawthorn, apple and pear and on apple fruit skins. (Pratt, 2011).
