Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

A resident species, occurring singly or sparingly in a very few places in each vice-county. Single-brooded, flying mainly from late June to late August. Larvae feed on native hedge woundwort and black horehound and on the introduced garden plant called lamb's ear. (Pratt, 2011)
