Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

This species was listed on a national distribution map published in 1976 as present in both vice-counties. More recently single vacated mines were discovered in Norway maple at Rewell Wood in October 1996 and Arundel in October 2002, in sycamore at Hindleap Warren in October 2004, at St Helens in July 2009, in Westdean Woods in July 2009 and Storrington in August 2009. (Pratt, 2011)
