Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

A resident species, whose adults occur sparingly in a wide range of habitats in both vice-counties, sometimes fairly commonly at mv light; larvae are notably more numerous. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid-June to late September. Larvae feed on the leaves of "all kinds of trees and shrubs". (Pratt, 2011)
