Status and ecology:

National Status: Common

Resident. Usually recorded in small numbers in both vice-counties. Flies mainly from mid-July to late August and again after intermittent hibernation from mid-February to late April, occasionally May. Larvae feed on sallow in other counties (Pratt, 2011).
