Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

The first and only West Sussex sighting of this species was made at Black Down near Fernhurst in October 2003 when several larval mines on bilberry were recorded. The earliest report of this species in East Sussex is of its illustration on a national distribution map published in 1976. Larval leaf mines of this species in bilberry have more recently been collected from Gills Lap in October 2004. (Pratt, 2011)
