Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

Resident. Normally occurs singly or sparingly on heathland but is sometimes fairly common to common at mv light in both vice-counties. Single-brooded, flying mainly from mid July to late August. Larvae feed on heather. (Pratt, 2011).
