Status and ecology:

National Status: Local

Resident. Occurs singly at mv light in a very few woods in West Sussex, undetected in East Sussex since 1933. Single-brooded, flying from May to July. Larvae feed on the shoots and needles of Scots pine although to be confirmed in Sussex. (Pratt, 2011).
