Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce A

In late 19th century this species was "abundant at Lancing" where the larvae fed on Suaeda and Spergularia spp. The only recent record from West Sussex is from Church Norton on August 12th 2003. In East Sussex it was found at Camber Sands during the first half of July 1955. Also found at Rye Harbour on August 31st, 1985 and September, 1999 (Pratt, 2011).
