Status and ecology:

National Status: pRDB1

Uncertain. Presumed extinct in West Sussex since 1961 and undetected in East Sussex since 1990. Larvae were formerly fairly common on the foremost acid heathlands containing the larval foodplant. Double-brooded, flying mainly during May and June, and again from July to September. Larvae feed on dyer's greenweed (Pratt, 2011).
