Status and ecology:

National Status: Nationally Scarce B

A rare resident since 1987, recorded from only five scattered localities in East Sussex and from Walberton in the west. Double-brooded, flying mainly in May-June and August-September. Larvae feed on trees and shrubs including apple. (Pratt, 2011)
